It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we honor the life and legacy of US Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Amaya Mikale Curley, 25, who passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in San Diego, California. A proud daughter of Page, Arizona, Amaya was born on January 28, 2000, and grew into a remarkable young woman whose strength, dedication, and kindness touched everyone she met.

Upon graduating from Page High School, Amaya followed her calling to serve her country, enlisting in the United States Navy in 2017. She served faithfully from 2018 to 2025, rising to the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (E6) — a testament to her discipline, leadership, and unwavering commitment. She carried the Navy’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment in everything she did. Her service, her sacrifice, and her devotion to country will never be forgotten.

Amaya was a vibrant and gifted individual long before she put on the uniform. A fierce competitor and dedicated athlete, she excelled in basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, cross-country, and track and field. She earned the title of Softball Player of the Year, helping lead her team to a 3A Regional Championship, a moment her family and community proudly remember. Academically, she shone just as brightly, earning numerous awards throughout her school years.

To those who knew her, Amaya was much more than her accomplishments. She was a source of laughter, joy, and warmth. Her sense of humor was unforgettable, her spirit adventurous, and her smile — radiant and genuine — brought comfort and happiness to any room she entered. Her life’s journey was filled with curiosity, bravery, and countless memories shared with family, friends, fellow service members, and everyone blessed to cross her path.

Amaya is survived by her loving mother, Megan Marks, and her siblings Ethan and Chloe Marks. She is preceded in death by her father, Ryan L. Curley, whose memory she carried with her always.
